Leadpages Main Features
Originally Leadpages offered three main products: Leadpages (landing pages), pop-ups, and alert-bars. Now you can also use it as a dedicated site builder as well as take advantage of a few other features that we’ll go into detail about below.
1. Leadpages Landing Pages
This is the main thing you’ll do with Leadpages. You can use the landing page builder and template to create and put together a great page in minutes. If you’ve ever used a CMS tool like WordPress, this will all feel very familiar.
If you didn’t begin creating a landing page while getting started, you can create a page from the dashboard. Begin by selecting your goal.
You then choose what you’re offering users, and Leadpages will give you six different recommended templates to choose from. If you’re not feeling any of these, you can also browse the template library.
Next, input the details into the editor, and when you’re ready, you can preview and publish.
The only small downside is there is not a ton of customization available. You have to work within the parameters, but isn’t that the point of using something like Leadpages anyway?
Similarly, it’s just as easy to create pop-ups. Navigate to the Conversion Tools tab on your dashboard and select “Pop-Up.”
Then select the widget you want like Text, image, video, etc. Once you’re finished with the design, hit Publish, and you’ll be able to select what type of Pop-up you want it to be.
Leadpages will then create the HTML code for you that you copy/paste into your site’s HTML code.
3. Alert Bars
Alert bars are the bars that stay on the screen as you scroll up and down a page. Leadpages make it easy to create them in the Conversion Tools section.
You can design how you want it to appear in the editor as well as choose actions like link to pages or open a pop-up.
As with pop-ups, once you’re ready to publish, Leadpages will give you a code you just copy/paste onto your site.
