It wasn’t long ago that to get access to essential SEO insights, you had to pay hundreds or even thousands of dollars per month. Even now, the top SEO tools still start at nearly $100/month.
Fortunately, there is now a plethora of affordable options out there that give you the insights you need to know at a fraction of the price. Are they as good as something like SEMrush or AhRefs? Not exactly. But they are still effective and provide the core information that all site managers and marketers are looking for.
Mangools is precisely one of these SEO solutions. Though it’s not the most feature-rich option out there, it does focus on five core SEO aspects that all web markets should be working on. And it all comes in an affordable and user-friendly package.

Getting Started With Mangools
Mangools offers a 10-day, no credit card required free trial. To sign up, just provide your email and set an account password. After verifying your email, you’ll have access to Mangools.
If you’ve ever used anything like Ubersuggest, WooRank, or any of the other big names out there, then Mangools will feel very familiar.
Click on whichever tool you want to use and then get started. If you’re a marketing newbie or need a little refreshing, there are tons of great guides on how to use it (as well as general marketing tips) in the Blog and Resource sections.
Mangools Pricing
Mangools pricing varies from $30-80/month. All of the plans have access to the same primary features. The difference is how many searches, SERP lookouts, keywords, and backlink rows you can analyze.
With the Premium and Agency plans, you’ll also be able to have simultaneous logins making it useful for teams.
Mangools offers a yearly discount as well as lifetime plans that are worth considering if you’ve fallen in love with it.
In terms of pricing, Mangools is on the lower end. It’s not quite as cheap as Ubersuggest or SE Ranking. But it is much more competitively priced than SEMrush or AhRefs, making it affordable for many people on more limited budgets.
Mangools Features
Mangools revolves around the five main tools. Here’s what you’ll do with each of them:
1. KW Finder
This is the prime Mangools’ feature. It’s like most keyword tools out there. You type in a keyword, and you’ll get stats like search volume and CPC and additional keyword ideas.
The suggestions are pretty solid, and it gives you some nice ones you can add to your list along with some useful related terms. It even comes up with lateral keywords so you can identify opportunities you might not have come across before.
2. SERPChecker
This gives you a detailed analysis of SERPs for keywords. You get an analysis of all pages ranking for keywords; you can also see DA, Alexa Ranking, PA, trust flow, and more metrics.
It also has a nifty SERPfeatures tool that helps you see how busy the first page is and how things like ads and videos could make it difficult to rank for that page.
3. SERPWatcher
Mangool’s keyword tracker is likewise easy to use and very similar to every other rank tracking keyword tool out there. It’s nothing to write about but still great to have under one dashboard.
4. LinkMiner
Using Majestic SEO’s API, Mongols will check the quality of backlinks. This is a good thing since Majestic has one of the best link indexes out there. Again, nothing outstanding, but it’s trustworthy data and plenty of helpful insights for you to use for your site.
5. SiteProfiler
Mangool’s site audit tool. Pop in a domain, and you’ll get good information about backlinks, top content, social shares, and other useful data. Most of this data you can find in other parts of Mangools, but it’s also helpful to see it in one place. The top content section is the most useful part since you can then use it to inform you of your own content strategies.
It’s even effective for younger websites. For example, it pulled relevant linking data for the new SaaS tool WP Lookout including top pages and anchor text, despite other SEO tools not being able to pull up data on it. This makes it useful for all sites you manage, no matter how popular or established they are.
Who Should Use Mangools?
Whether you go with Mangools, one of their competitors, or none at all really depends on who you are.
If you’re an SME, for example, you can play the free trial game with all the different SEO tools out there for a long time to periodically check back in on your progress.
But if you’re a marketer, then you’ll definitely need something permanent. There is plenty to like about Mangools. It may not have the most advanced tools, but it does give you most of what you need.
$30 is pretty affordable considering all things Mangools does offer. However, agencies and larger brands that have more sophisticated needs will definitely need to look elsewhere. While it’s always nice to imagine you could replace expensive software like SEMrush and AhRefs with cheaper alternatives, Mangools is unfortunately not quite up to that challenge.
Is Mangools Worth It?
Yes. No. Maybe? Mangools is affordable. But so are plenty of other SEO tools. We’ll go into more detail below about why you should consider using either Ubersuggest or SE Ranking instead.
In addition, there’s nowhere to set up a project. Sure, it does have a few places to save important information, but you can’t set up a dedicated project for whatever site you might be working on.
And this does get a little annoying, especially if you manage several different platforms.
However, Mangools does score high on being super user-friendly, having a very clean UI, and being fast. Compared to other SEO software, especially at this price point, it’s amazing how quickly any of your queries load on all five of its offerings.
So, for a fairly large subsection of marketers, Mangools just might be worth it.
Pros
- Affordable
- Nice collection of tools
- Actionable insights
- Great UI
- Very fast
- Easy to use
- Good keyword research tool for the price
- Uses the Majestic SEO database
Cons
- Can’t create projects
- No on-page SEO audit
- Some of the tools provide overlapping data
Mangools Alternatives
It depends on how much you’re willing to spend. We’ve reviewed a large selection of SEO software from all different price points.
Nonetheless, if you’re looking for something in the same pricing ballpark as Mangools, then check out Ubersuggest and SE Ranking.
What Is Ubersuggest?
SEO guru Neil Patel’s Ubersuggest offers a lot of overlapping features as Mangools. With it, you can do keyword tracking, competitive analysis, backlink analysis, and more. It’s also very user friendly.
However, pricing is even cheaper, with pricing from $29/month (instead of annually for Mangools), an affordable lifetime pricing option, and tons of tips from Neil and his team. It also wins on allowing you to set up projects and having real on-page SEO analysis so you can identify and troubleshoot ranking errors.
It’s not quite as fast as Mangools, but it still performs well and has some good premium features you can upgrade to as well.
What Is SE Ranking?
We consistently tout SE Ranking as one of the best SEO tools out there. It really can hang with some of the most expensive brands with its broad assortment of tools like keyword tracking, marketing plan, social media management, custom reporting, lead generator, and more. And pricing starts from just $18.60 if you only need weekly keyword position updates.
It’s not quite as easy to use as Mangools or Ubersuggest, but you can get the hang of it fairly quickly, and it definitely gives you the best bang for the buck.
Mangools: The Bottom Line
Mangools is a pretty solid SEO software. It’s not the best out there, but it’s affordable, easy-to-use, and has most of what you need for effective marketing campaigns. Check it out for yourself to see if it’s the right fit for your marketing toolset.
