The Social Media Management (SMM) software playing field is crowded with a wide array of different players. You have industry leaders like Buffer and Sprout Social. Then there are less well-known but still excellent options like MeetEdgar and Later.
BuzzBundle from the makers of Link Assistant is yet another SMM tool. Most of its features are pretty familiar, so there’s not a whole lot that will surprise you about it—except for one thing.
In a world of cloud-based SaaS software, BuzzBundle is desktop-based! It also includes a pretty generous free version that gives you access to most features. BuzzBundle also links directly in Link-Assistant SEO software, helping you better overall manage your web and social campaigns.
Is BuzzBundle the right SMM tool for you? Discover everything you need to know in this ultimate BuzzBundle review.
What Is BuzzBundle?
Link Assistant is best known for its SEO Power Suite software. Over 2 million customers, including huge names like Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon, have grown their business with the software.
A few years ago, they decided to branch out to the ever-growing world of social media marketing and put out BuzzBundle.
BuzzBundle makes it easy for SMEs and individuals to generate better web traffic through enhanced social interactions. The desktop app is compatible with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Unfortunately, there is no direct Pinterest and Instagram support, which definitely limits its overall efficacy.
It has some cool features like brand monitoring software and centralized keyword lists for you to work off of. It also includes analytics and competitor reports so you can better refine your marketing strategy.
Other than being a desktop software, the main attraction of BuzzBundle is that it integrates with your SEO campaigns if you already use Power SEO. This likely will be what determines whether you go with BuzzBundle vs. one of their competitors.
BuzzBundle Features
- Post scheduling
- Analytics
- Multi-account management
- Brand tracking
- Unlimited posts
- Keyword groups
- Engagement
Getting Started With BuzzBundle
You can start using BuzzBundle’s free plan right away. Enter your name and email on the homepage and hit “Download for Free.” BuzzBundle is available for Mac, Windows, and Linux. You can either download the software from the link sent to your inbox or on the confirmation page.
After installing the software, you’re ready to start a new project.
The first thing you’ll need to do is link the relevant social account that you’ll be managing. Twitter is a big one for BuzzBundle. Even if you don’t use it, you should set up an account so you can take advantage of BuzzBundle’s monitoring and keyword research tools.
Once your accounts are linked, you’ll be able to start crafting posts, engaging directly with users, and tracking your analytics. It’s all pretty straightforward, but if you’re new to SMM, then you’ll need to spend a little time on their blog to figure out how to make the most of the tool.
BuzzBundle Pricing
BuzzBundle has one of the more generous free plans out there. With it, you’ll get access to:
- Unlimited Social Profiles
- 100 keywords per project
- 5 keyword groups
- 2 Personas
- Social, blog, forum posting
- 20 FB, LinkedIn, and Twitter Post scheduled
- 15 days post history
- Limited brand tacking
Unlike the vast majority of other SMM software, upgrading is a one-time purchase. The Pro Edition is $199 and includes:
- Unlimited Social Profiles
- 100 keywords per project
- 10 keyword groups
- Unlimited Personas
- Social, blog, forum posting
- Unlimited FB, LinkedIn, and Twitter Post scheduled
- Saves all data
- Unlimited brand tracking
Finally, there is an Enterprise Plan with:
- Unlimited Social Profiles
- 200 keywords per project
- 10 keyword groups
- Unlimited Personas
- Social, blog, forum posting
- Unlimited FB, LinkedIn, and Twitter Post scheduled
- Saves all data history
- Unlimited tracking
- White-label reports
One-time fee software has definitely become a novelty these days. In terms of pricing, SMM software averages between $20-50 depending on the plans and features you purchase.
$199 is roughly equivalent to what you’d’ get for about 4-6 months of competitor software. So BuzzBundle can be a pretty good value over the long term.
BuzzBundle Features
Most BuzzBundle features are what you’d expect from any modern SMM tools. This includes:
1. Multi-Account Management
With BuzzBundle, it’s easy to manage profiles in one convenient dashboard. You can create posts, engagement, and manage support accounts all fairly easily.
2. Brand Mention
Somehow brand monitoring isn’t a built-in feature to all SMM yet. You often need an additional SaaS tool to do that for you.
One of the perks of BuzzBundle is that it includes pretty good monitoring across Twitter for your brand. You can also track keywords, competitors, and use it to do various research for your marketing projects.
3. Using Proxies
With BuzzBundle, you use proxies and VPNs to improve your privacy and security to hide your location and protect your online reputation. Even if you have outsourced your social campaigns to third parties, you can still use it.
With account takeover on the rise on social media, this actually really comes in handy.
4. Scheduler
No SMM tools would be complete without a scheduler. BuzzBundle is very easy to use and allows you to schedule posts for any time as well as post across multiple platforms. They even include a built-in link shortener to help you squeeze into those precious Twitter characters.
The only downside is it doesn’t include a “best time to post” feature, which is also standard in the industry these days.
5. Links With SEO PowerSuite
This is the main thing that will determine if BuzzBundle is the right tool for you. If you are already in the Power SEO ecosystem, you can link your social media with your web campaigns. You can also use keywords and track everything under one familiar dashboard.
It’s pretty handy and definitely makes the fairly average overall software worth a second consideration for some users.
Who Should Use BuzzBundle?
With all the amazing SMM software out there, it’s hard to say exactly who should BuzzBundle instead of one of the other options out there.
BuzzBundle isn’t exactly easy to use, so it’s not a great fit for beginners. Not linking with two of the world’s largest social platforms—Pinterest and Instagram—along with emerging contenders like TikTok is also a buzz kill.
Again, if you’re already in the SEO PowerSuite/Link-Assistant Ecosystem, it’s definitely nice to integrate everything into one set of tools.
The other advantage is built-in brand monitoring, but that’s also available on plenty of other SMM tools that crawl even more sources than BuzzBundle. But if you want to do a little quick research for free, then you should check it out.
Is BuzzBundle Worth It?
It’s hard to argue with such a generous free trial. Likewise, the paid plan is also really affordable. $200 on lifetime SMM software seems like a pretty good deal. This is especially true when you compare it to options like Sprout Social, which costs almost $100/month.
But when you start looking into BuzzBundle, its value does fall apart a little. Aside from not supporting very important social platforms, it also has a very dated UI, making using it not too pleasant. It’s also not really built around collaboration, which is an integral part of most social campaigns.
Finally, there is a major reason why basically all software is cloud-based nowadays; it’s faster and more convenient. You can use it anywhere.
We haven’t even mentioned the weirdest part. It’s an SMM tool without a mobile app. Social and mobile are 100% linked. So not having a way for people to manage campaigns from everywhere is a pretty serious oversight.
Pros
- Fairly easy to use
- Track brand mentions
- Good for competitor research
- The keyword feature is helpful for additional research
- Includes reporting and analytics
- Generous free plan
- Syncs with Power SEO suite
- Integrated workflows
- Supports Mac, Windows, and Linux
Cons
- Limited social media platform support
- Dated UI
- No web-based or mobile app
- Limited resources for newer SMM marketers
BuzzBundle Alternatives
There are a ton of different SMM options out there. We consistently recommend Buffer as one of the best SMM apps out there.
Buffer is web-based, has a great UI, and has a killer feature very few other SMM tools have—it can direct posts to Instagram. Most other apps can only schedule a reminder for you to post manually at a later time.
Buffer is also very easy to use and has a ton of resources that both social media pros and newbies can benefit from.
Other honorable mentions include MeetEdgar and Later.
BuzzBundle: The Bottom Line
BuzzBundle offers a few unique features, including the ability to sync Power SEO projects. But its limited social platform support and dated UI make it not the best fit for most SMM marketers.
