Good social media takes time. You have to find the right image, put together a snappy short quote, add relevant hashtags, and more. Even once you get really good at putting it all together, you’re lucky if the whole process only takes you 15 minutes. And that’s all for just one post. You then have to do all over again the next time you want to engage your audience.
When you factor in multiple platforms and multiple brands, you’ll end up spending your entire time doing nothing else but posting to social media.
Social media management (SMM) apps are here to make your life easier. They create a centralized dashboard where you can post everything from, including template tools to make it easier to assemble posts, and scheduling tools so you can set everything on autopilot.
In a few short years, SMM has quickly become a crowded industry. You’re likely already familiar with some of the bigger names like Sprout Social, HubSpot, Buffer, Hootsuite, and others.
Today, we’re going to take a look at the less-known OnlyWire in this review. OnlyWire is not your average SMM solution because it comes with automation features to make sourcing content for your social media much easier.
It also integrates with over 50 channels far exceeding your average SMM app. In this review, we’ll dive into everything you need to know about OnlyWire and whether it’s worth ditching a more mainstream alternative for.
What Is OnlyWire?
OnlyWire is a social media management solution that allows you to post to 50 social media channels from one dashboard. Unlike more prominent names which only connect with Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and a few others, OnlyWire spans the entire range, including:
- Wix
- WordPress
- Tumblr
- Myspace
- Bitly
- Many more…
What’s nice about this is you can use these specific niches to approach your target markets better. Unfortunately, however, there is no direct Instagram support, which seems like a strange oversight considering how many other platforms it does sync up with.
Once you set up your accounts, you’re ready to start publishing. The main thing you do with OnlyWire is to create posts for all your social networks in one place. You can choose where you want to post and even pull into data from your RSS feed to source ideas. Then you hit schedule, and you’re ready to go live.
OnlyWire’s other main feature is automation. You can sync your RSS feed, Twitch, or YouTube to auto-post to social media.
That’s really about all you can do with it. It is simple, but also cheap. Pricing starts at $9.99/month to connect up to 50 social accounts.
Overall, if you are looking for one of the cheapest SMM by account options out there, OnlyWire is a good fit. But you get what you pay for. Most people will likely be happier to get the more robust functionality out of slightly more expensive options like Buffer, MeetEdgar, or Promo Republic.

Getting Started With OnlyWire
OnlyWire is very easy to use. To sign up, you just provide your username and password. After this, you’re taken to your dashboard where a how-to will walk you through adding your accounts and getting your first post ready.
It’s all very intuitive, and even marketing newbies can put together something in just a few minutes. After creating your post, you select which of your channels you want to publish it to and schedule it for now or later. It’s that simple.
Other than that, you might want to add the browser extension and WordPress plug-in so OnlyWire can automatically post to your social media any time you update your website.
There’s not much else to distract you in OnlyWire. You’re not going to feel overwhelmed with all the bells and whistles because this really is about all it can do.
OnlyWire Pricing
OnlyWire only has a few things really going for it, and one of those things in pricing. Aside from its 10-day free trial (no credit card required), it has one main plan that starts at $9.99/month and includes:
- 1 User
- 50 Social Profiles
- 3 Automation Sources
- 1000 schedule posts/month
- Analytics
- Live support
After your free trial is over, you can select a plan based on the number of posts you have each month. You can see the price breakdown below:
They also have an Enterprise plan geared towards agencies for $99.99 month that bumps up the number of users and post per month:
- Unlimited Users
- Unlimited Social Profiles
- Unlimited Automation Sources
- 5000 schedule posts/month
- Analytics
- Live support
Nonetheless, without direct Instagram support, it’s probably not worth it for most agencies to go with OnlyWire even if it has such affordable plans.
OnlyWire Features
OnlyWire really focuses on two areas: posting across your social channels and automation that creates content for your posts. Here’s a little more detail about each of these features:
1. Posting
OnlyWire is a simple way to post to multiple social accounts at the same time. After you’ve synced all your accounts, you can then create a post by clicking a “New Post” You have two options.
You can put together a post from within the app, add images and text. It’s really simple. There are no advanced features or template builder. Or you can copy/paste for your blog, and it will automatically assemble a post for you. This is really helpful if you have an extensive blog catalog to draw from, so you create a bunch of social content at one time.
Overall, however, it’s pretty underwhelming. As convenient as it is to publish all your accounts in one place, it generalizes all your amazing content into fairly bland posts.
2. Automation
OnlyWire’s Automation tools are designed to streamline the content process. Instead of individually creating posts, you can set up your RSS, YouTube, or Twitch Channel to post directly to your social media every time you update on one of those networks.
This can be a major time saver and help you increase traffic to your site. Setup is just as easy as posting. You sync your feed and the channels you want to automatically post to. That’s it. Everything else is done automatically from there.
Once again, it would be helpful if there were more tools to add customization to these posts, which is why you might want to look at other SMM options instead of this one.
3. WordPress Plugin
WordPress is the world’s most popular CMS, so it’s handy you can sync your social to it with OnlyWire. Once activated on your site, OnlyWire will automatically post to social any time you update or add a new blog post. It’s the perfect example of a “set it and forget it” solution.
4. Analytics
OnlyWire also includes analytics for Facebook and Twitter. It consists of a few useful insights, including age, location, total reach, and a few other items. This is all stuff you can find directly on FB, but it is helpful to have access to this all under one dashboard.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to get more detailed analytics to really see what’s working and what isn’t with your posts.
5. Browser Extension
With the Browser Extension for both Chrome and Firefox, you can directly publish to social from within your browser. You can also directly share content from any website or blog you visit. So, if you come across something in your browsing that you think your audience might like, then go ahead and share it!
Who Is OnlyWire Best For?
It’s hard to make the case that OnlyWire is really for anybody. Its features are less than overwhelming, to say the least. Anybody who needs to manage the 20+ social integrations that OnlyWire is compatible with likely already has the budget for a better software solution.
Even if you’re on a tight budget, you’d be much better off using an affordable option with better overall functionality like Buffer, Onlypult, or Socialmonials.
Automation is great. And all social marketers could use some extra time on their hands. But if it comes at the expense of creating great-looking posts, then is it even worth it? Probably not, or your clients won’t be sticking around for too long.
Is OnlyWire Worth It?
Nope. $9.99/month is really affordable. But some things are just too good to be true. OnlyWire creates generic posts across all your accounts. That’s not something most marketers can get away with regardless of whether they’re managing their own brands or someone else’s.
You can find the same analytics tools directly within whatever platform you’re using. The only thing remotely useful is the Automation feature. But its functionality is extremely limited. If you want to start to benefit from automation while still creating professional posts, then go with MeetEdgar, which now has plans starting as low $19/month.
Last but not least, there’s no Instagram support. How can you even do social marketing without IG?

OnlyWire Alternatives
We’ve mentioned a lot of the other and better alternatives to OnlyWire already. If you’re really interested in automation, then MeetEdgar is worth looking into, or if you want an all-around great SMM, then check out Buffer.
What Is MeetEdgar?
MeetEdgar actually does what OnlyWire promises and delivers. It allows you to automate posting through creating content libraries tied to set categories and your blog. It has auto-recycling, post-refill, and other tools to really save you time while still creating engaging content.
What Is Buffer?
Buffer is an overall fantastic SMM solution. With it, you can easily publish, schedule, and manage your social accounts all from one dashboard. Buffer also has one feature that all other SMM apps wish they had—it can directly and automatically post to Instagram. The other apps can only prepare your post in advance and send you a reminder.

OnlyWire: The Final Verdict
If OnlyWire were the only social media management tool out there, then we’d say go for it. If you want something simple that can create just as simple-looking posts, then this is for you.
On the other hand, if your social channels are for more than just checking boxes, such as for driving leads to your website and fostering engagement, then you’ll definitely want to look elsewhere for your SMM solution.
